Internship in Ireland

Our Internship Program in Ireland is the perfect experience for students and recent graduates who would like to develop their knowledge and resume with an unpaid internship placement in an English-speaking European country. This internship program offers students the chance to work with internationally-recognized companies as well as national and European organizations. 
Non-native speakers of English also have the possibility to combine an English Language Program with their internship prior to starting their work experience.

Eligibility:
* From 18 years old
* Must possess an intermediate level of English at the minimum

Location:
The majority of internship positions will be based in companies in Dublin.  However, for placements in certain sectors, students may be placed outside of the Dublin region.

Duration:
Minimum: 4 weeks
Maximum: 12 weeks

Throughout the year

Internship placement
The internship is guaranteed and the type of placement will be offered according to your education, experience and future career path. 

The following gives a sample of some of the areas within which students may be placed:

Business: placements include Financial Services, IT and Telecoms, Marketing, Consulting, Hospitality, Food, Travel, Fashion and Retail.

Media, Arts and Literature: placements include Newspapers, Magazines, Publishing, Film, Television, Music, Radio, Theatre, Museums, galleries and Resource Centers.

PR and Advertising: placements include Advertising Agencies, Public Relations Agencies, In-house Press Offices and Event planning.

Education: placements may be in a wide range of institutions and organizations in this sector.

Politics, Law and NGOs: placements include Government Organizations, non-governmental Organizations (NGOs), Civil Law Practices, Criminal Law Practices, Research and Advocacy Groups.

Psychology

English language lessons
Non-English speaking participants will need to take some English classes prior to starting their internship. This two-week program includes 20 hours of courses per week. Lessons will take place in the morning so you can explore Dublin and its surroundings in the afternoon. Textbook and teaching materials will be provided.

Accommodations
During your program, you will live with a host family who will provide you with a private room, breakfast and dinner.

Visa documentation
AIDE will assist participants in applying for the appropriate visa depending on their citizenship. Visa fees are not covered by the program fee and will be paid directly to Irish Immigration.

* The full list of countries not requiring visas can be found on the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs website.

* All non-EU citizens, whether they require a visa or not, will be subject to ordinary immigration controls at the port of entry.

AIDE will assist in the visa documentation and paperwork process.

Regular social events
We organize regular social and cultural activities for all participants. This may include movie nights, pub nights and informal get-togethers.
