H = Host Family, A= Apartment, S= Student Residence, V= Volunteer Housing, HO = Hostel, R = Ranch Living

Host Family (H)

Living with a host family will give you invaluable insight into the local culture.  During your international internship, you will live with a local family either individually, or with a small group of other interns in the city. You will be provided with some meals per day.  Even though some host families may be able to launder your clothes, you should plan to spend around $10.00 USD per week on laundry.

Apartment Living (A)

During your international internship, you can choose to live in a single or double room in a shared flat with other interns or students. The flats will include a fully equipped kitchen, access to a laundry room, a shared bathroom, bed linens and other amenities.

Student Housing (S)

Student housing offers the chance to live with other internationals who are exploring the city.  If you are interested in this option, please contact AIDE Abroad for more details.

Volunteer Housing (V)

Volunteer housing is available at certain projects in Costa Rica and Peru. Volunteers and interns will live together at a lodge that is located close to their project.

Hostel (HO)

Hostel stays are for the Volunteer South Africa program. Breakfast is the only meal included on this program, volunteers will need to provide themselves with all other meals.

Ranch Living (V)

Ranch living is only for our Work Outback program. You will be provided with accommodations on the ranch you will be working.
