Teach China places you in a paid English teaching
position in a Chinese school for either 1 or 2 semesters. The majority of our positions are
with language schools, some positions will allow you to work with younger children. We will
place you based on your background, qualification and availability.

Location:
We work with schools in a wide variety of locations throughout China, including (though not
limited to): Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Yantai.

Length
of program: One semester (5 months) or two semesters 10 months).

Start
dates:The fall semester begins in September,
and the spring semester begins in late February/early March
(depending on when the Chinese New Year falls). Some schools are able to accept
teachers throughout the year. Please check with us for other
available start dates.

What
you get:
Accommodations:
You will live in accommodations provided by the school. Apartments usually consist of a single bedroom, with shared living space, kitchen, and bathroom. You will be required to pay a deposit for internet and phone service.
Salary:
You will be paid between
$3000 - $5000 RMB (approximately USD$ 400 -7000) per month
in the local currency. You also receive accommodations
and sometimes a meal may be provided during the work day. Many schools help reimburse part
of your airline ticket at the end of your contract (though
we can not guarantee this in advance as it varies per contract).
All salary and benefits will be agreed upon in your contract
prior to departure.
Visa Documentation: You will be
required to obtain a Z visa (work visa) to enter China. We will work closely
with your school to provide you with the documentation needed
to obtain your visa. The process can take up to two months.
You will need to apply for a work visa at the nearest Chinese
consulate in your home country. It is important to apply early
enough to allow for visa processing. AIDE will assist you
in the process though we can never guarantee a visa, as it
is issued by the Chinese government. Upon arrival in china, your school will help you to register with the local authorities.
